From industrial infrastructure to quiet canal (All pics: Stephen Dowling)
I can't be sure how many rolls I shot last year – a fair few are waiting to be scanned, and just as many are waiting to be developed – but my guess is between 150 and 200. Some of these are on my own collection of cameras, and others on cameras sold through my online camera shop Cameraburo. I am certainly doing my bit to keep the film processing labs of London busy…
In October, my wife and I took the Elizabeth Line near my home in South East London way way waaaaaaay out west, past Heathrow Airport to the hinterlands of Hayes and Hanwell. West London is not an area I know particularly well (despite more than three decades living in London), so it's always nice to head out there on photowalks and see something different. We got off at Hayes and headed via the Grand Union Canal towards Hanwell and eventually Brentford (on a match day where the local team football team had trounced Manchester United 3-1).
